Industrial Process Network Engineer

About Neutreeno

Imagine a future where companies can slash emissions not just by a little, but significantly across vast and complex supply chains. Neutreeno, a pioneering deep tech spinout from the University of Cambridge’s Engineering Department, is turning this vision into a reality.
Our revolutionary digital platform precisely tracks process flows, equipping businesses with scientific, data-driven insights needed to optimise emission reduction interventions across thousands of suppliers. Forget offsets - it's about real emissions reductions at source.
Neutreeno is not just about cutting-edge tech; it’s about pioneering a new low-carbon era with a brain trust of leading sustainability scientists from the IPCC, IEA, the Cambridge Engineering Department and other renowned Universities. Together, our research underpins a transformative technology already adopted by some of the world’s largest companies.
Our impact is resonating globally. We're closing one of Cambridge's largest early-stage Seed funding rounds, positioning us to transform the fight against climate change.

The Role

As a Senior Process Engineer specialising in emissions reduction, you'll leverage your extensive industry experience to identify, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge technologies and processes that significantly reduce carbon emissions across industry. You'll work across a wide range of sectors, addressing emissions reduction challenges in industries as diverse as jet engine production, electricity transmission and distribution, and EV battery manufacturing. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, sustainability, and data science to drive real-world decarbonisation efforts for our clients, while building the world’s most scalable low-carbon system.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the identification and assessment of Best Available Technologies (BAT) for emissions reduction across various industrial sectors
Develop comprehensive strategies for implementing emissions reduction technologies, considering technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance
Develop and maintain detailed production process networks across various sectors, mapping interconnections and identifying optimisation opportunities
Conduct detailed process analyses to identify opportunities for energy and material efficiency improvements and emissions reduction
Collaborate with data scientists to integrate industry knowledge into our digital platform, enhancing our predictive capabilities for emissions reduction potential across the most relevant industrial supply chains
Stay at the forefront of emerging low-carbon technologies and industry trends, continuously updating our knowledge base
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of our engineering capabilities
Represent Neutreeno at industry conferences and events, showcasing our innovative approaches to emissions reduction
