We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design and development of our cutting-edge drone systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for autonomous drone platforms, ensuring functionality and manufacturability, while optimizing system performance.
- Create and revise detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings.
- Conduct analysis and simulations to validate designs (stress, thermal, and vibration)
- Create and revise detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
- Participate in prototyping, assembly, fabrication, and validation of new designs.
- Identify system design and manufacturing issues by conducing root cause analysis, evaluating impacts and risks, and implementing solutions to the product.
- Carry design projects through the full Engineering process and coordinate implementation through an Engineering Change Process.
- Drive continuous improvement of products through cross-functional collaboration and conducting design reviews for Engineering and leadership stakeholders
- Participate in integration efforts to support customer requests and growing applications of Easy Aerial products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. (Master’s degree is a plus)
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably in the aerospace or defense industries as applied to unmanned aircraft systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards for military vehicles, systems, and equipment. (MIL-STD, etc.)
- Proficiency in CAD/PDM software (Solidworks, Autodesk, etc.) with experience in simulation tools (Solidworks Simulation, etc.)
- Demonstrate knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes relevant to aerospace applications.
- Demonstrate hands-on prototyping experience and familiarity with fabrication/manufacturing techniques.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines in a small-business environment.
- U.S. National (Citizen, naturalized, etc.)
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards is highly desirable
Tools and Knowledge Base:
- CAD Systems (Solidworks proficiency preferred)
- Configuration Management principles and tools (Solidworks PDM preferred)
- Design Simulation Tools (Solidworks Simulation preferred)
